Bruges in the day, Crugny at night

We started our day in Bruges, Belgium and then hopped in the car for a short drive to the Champagne region in France.

Morning breakfast.
And during breakfast we started to hear clip clops coming down the street, the horse and carriages past our breakfast window creating quite the cacophony.
After breakfast, Todd, the kids and I went for a short walk. We saw the line was not long for the belfry tour, so we ran back to the hotel to gather the other Rosie's for an adventure up 370 stairs.

We ended up waiting a bit, but managed to get in fairly quickly. There were several rest stop rooms.

At the top, the views were amazing. And we were fortunate enough to hear the bells go off while we were up there.

It was a bit breezy.
After the belfry climb, we raced back to the hotel to check out by 11:00 am. Once we packed the cars, we went on a canal tour that included a brief history as well. Here's Todd and I waiting in line.

Loading the boat.

Not so serious!
After the boat ride, we went to find lunch. Here's the kiddos outside a supermarket getting blown by the wind from the below ground tunnels.

And yes, this is an outdoor 4 man urinal that was indeed in use when we walked by.
Then a quick 3 hour drive and we were in the champagne region of France in a small village outside of Reims called Crugny. Story time.

Our kitchen.
