We sent the kids off this morning with Maria who was playing for Sabbath school at the college church. I walked along, to make sure things went well with the kids, but I needn't have worried. They follow their cousins and fit right in.
I went over Rod and Maria's house to help if I could and to talk. And to bum some WIFI.
At 1pm everyone started gathering for lunch. Sasha and Eileen and kids Reuben and Rocco and friend Faith. Linda, Eileen's sister, and her son Matt. Adam and Nicole, and their four kids, Ollie, Charlie, Tyler, and Keiran (probably missed some spellings there). And Amanda and two kids, Scarlet and ???.
We celebrated Maria's birthday and Anni's birthday. There was a lot of good food. The kids continued to enjoy their cousins and there was time for conversation and time for getting to know everyone better.
After everyone had left, the kids had some dinner and we took a walk. Actually Anni got only a 50 yards before showing signs of fatigue. So I took her home for a bath and a book and a backrub and some brushing of teeth. And some sitting on the toilet. That took awhile. And then, success!
DAD: Whoa ho! That's a heck of a poop, Anni!
ANNI: DAD! NO! THAT'S TWO HECKS OF A POOP.
Anni often talks in all caps. And she was right. It was 2 hecks.
